Indri

A single malt whisky from India.

Produced in the village of Indri within Haryana's Karnal district, this Indian single malt whisky uses six-row Indian barley from Rajasthan. The spirit undergoes distillation in copper pot stills and maturation in various oak casks.

Production Process

The whisky is made from six-row Indian barley cultivated in Rajasthan. After distillation in copper pot stills, it matures in different oak cask combinations. Specific expressions utilize ex-bourbon, ex-French wine, and ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

Brand Development

Piccadily Agro Industries Limited created the Indri brand during the early 2020s, targeting India's growing premium whisky sector. Their initial offering, Indri–Trini (The Three Wood), became available in late 2022. The brand has since reached international markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia.

Varieties

The brand's expressions include Indri–Trini (The Three Wood) with its three-cask maturation, Indri–Agneya featuring light peat and sherry-bourbon casks, and the cask-strength Indri–Dru. Limited editions like the Diwali Collector's Edition and House of the Dragon Exclusive Editions are also part of their portfolio.
