Gin Atomic

Made with gin, liqueur and bitters, served in a collins glass.

3basil
60 ml / 2 ozGin, Beefeater
30 ml / 1 ozElderflower liqueur, St. Germain
15 ml / 0.5 ozLemon juice
2 dasheslemon bitters, optional
120 ml / 4 ozTonic water, to top)
1Lemon zest, for garnish

Method

  1. Lightly muddle basil leaves.
  2. Add gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice and bitters, then shake with ice.
  3. Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass.
  4. Top with tonic water.
  5. Garnish with lemon twist.

About the Gin Atomic

A highball cocktail with gin and elderflower liqueur, given herbal character by basil. Lemon adds brightness with a hint of bitterness.
