Hawkstone Lager is a lager beer created by Jeremy Clarkson using barley from his farm. It has an ABV of 4.8% and is brewed by Hawkstone Brewery in Gloucestershire.
How it is made
Hawkstone Lager is brewed using barley grown at Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire. The beer was initially rebrewed after failing a blind taste test against a local beer brand.
History
Created in 2021 due to reduced farm subsidies, Hawkstone Lager was originally intended for sale only at Clarkson's Farm Shop but later became available online. It became the top-selling beer on Amazon upon release and was later added to pub taps in Oxfordshire and Waitrose supermarkets.
How it is served
Hawkstone Lager can be served in pubs, supermarkets, and purchased online. It was originally developed as a premium product, with the name 'Hawkstone' chosen after a prehistoric stone near the farm.
