Dark and Stormy (Brad Thomas Parsons Recipe)

Made with rum and bitters, served in a highball glass.

60 ml / 2 ozbermuda rum, Gosling's Black Seal
30 ml / 1 ozsimple syrup, see note
2 dashesBitters, Angostura
2 dashesBitters, Scrappy's Lime
120 ml / 4 ozGinger beer, to top
1 wedgeLime

Method

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Add 2 oz of bermuda rum, 1 oz of simple syrup, and dashes of Angostura and Scrappy's Lime bitters.
  3. Top with 4 oz of ginger beer.
  4. Squeeze a lime wedge into the drink and drop it in.
  5. Stir and serve.

This sour cocktail mixes bermuda rum with ginger beer and lime. The drink gets its name from the dark color of the rum and the bubbles of the ginger beer.
