Doctor Funk (Trader Vic)

Made with rum and liqueur, served in a highball glass.

75 ml / 2.5 ozJamaican rum (dark, or sub Martinique)
15 ml / 0.5 ozLemon juice
5 ml / 0.25 ozGrenadine
5 ml / 0.25 ozHerbal liqueur, Pernod (or Herbsaint)
1Lime
0.25Sugar
30 ml / 1 ozClub soda, to top

Method

  1. Add all ingredients except club soda over crushed ice in a shaker.
  2. Cut lime in half, juice it into the shaker, and drop in shells.
  3. Shake well and pour unstrained into a 12 ounce chimney glass.
  4. Top with club soda.
