About the Lynchburg Lemonade

The Lynchburg Lemonade is a sour cocktail featuring Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey as its base. It combines sweet and tart elements from triple sec, sour mix, and lemon-lime soda for a refreshing taste. This long drink is perfect for those who enjoy a balanced citrus-forward whiskey beverage.

History

Created in 1980 by Alabama restaurant owner Tony Mason, the drink was named after Lynchburg, Tennessee, home of the Jack Daniel's distillery. It became the subject of a 1987 court case when Mason alleged the distillery appropriated his recipe without permission.
