About the Hemingway Special
The Hemingway Special is a sour cocktail with rum as its base. It has a balanced tartness from the citrus juices and a subtle sweetness from the maraschino liqueur.
History
Created for Ernest Hemingway at the Floridita in Cuba, this drink evolved from his request for a daiquiri without sugar and with double rum, later modified with the addition of grapefruit juice.
