Irish Coffee (The Dead Rabbit)

Made with Irish whiskey.

45 ml / 1.5 ozIrish whiskey, Clontarf
120 ml / 4 ozCoffee, hot
20 ml / 0.75 ozDemerara syrup, 1:1
30 ml / 1 ozHeavy cream, as float
1 pinchNutmeg, as garnish

Method

  1. Pre-warm the glass with hot water and discard.
  2. Add liquid ingredients and stir.
  3. Top with a thumb's width of whipped cream.
  4. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
