Mexican Mule

Made with tequila, served in a highball glass.

50 ml / 1 3/4 ozSilver tequila
20 ml / 3/4 ozSugar syrup
15 ml / 1/2 ozLemon juice
100 ml / 3 1/2 ozGinger beer
115 gOrange
30 gGinger root
380 gIce cubes

Method

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  2. Muddle ginger root and orange in a shaker.
  3. Add tequila, sugar syrup and lemon juice to the shaker.
  4. Shake with ice and strain into the highball glass.
  5. Top with ginger beer and stir gently.
  6. Garnish with orange slice and ginger piece.
