Pirate

Made with rum, liqueur and Maraschino, served in a highball glass.

40 ml / 1 1/4 ozSpiced rum
20 ml / 3/4 ozDry Orange liqueur
20 ml / 3/4 ozMaraschino liqueur
5 ml / 1/4 ozAngostura bitters
10 ml / 1/4 ozOrgeat syrup
15 ml / 1/2 ozLemon juice
100 ml / 3 1/2 ozSprite
20 gLime
15 gGinger root
5 gMaraschino cherry
380 gIce cubes

Method

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  2. Muddle a slice of ginger root in a shaker.
  3. Add all ingredients to the shaker with ice and shake.
  4. Strain into the highball glass, top with Sprite, and stir gently.
  5. Garnish with a maraschino cherry, ginger and lime slices.

About the Pirate

A long cocktail made with spiced rum and citrus flavors. It has a sweet, spicy character with herbal notes from the bitters.
