About the Gin and Tonic

The Gin and Tonic is a classic highball cocktail that combines gin with tonic water over ice. Its botanical gin notes are complemented by the bitter-sweet taste of tonic water, with a hint of lime freshness creating a balanced and refreshing drink.

History

The Gin and Tonic originated in 19th century British India. British military officers mixed their medicinal tonic water (containing quinine as a malaria treatment) with gin and lime to make it more palatable. This simple combination became a popular cocktail that has remained a global favorite for centuries.
