About the Vesper

The Vesper is a strong, dry cocktail with gin and vodka as its base spirits. Created by James Bond in Ian Fleming's Casino Royale, it features a crisp character from the botanical gin, clean vodka, and herbal notes of Lillet Blanc, finished with a lemon twist garnish.

History

The Vesper was introduced in Ian Fleming's 1953 novel Casino Royale, created by the character James Bond and named after Vesper Lynd. The original recipe used Kina Lillet, which is no longer produced, leading to modern substitutes like Lillet Blanc or Cocchi Americano.
