About the Tuxedo

The Tuxedo is a stirred short drink with gin and Fino sherry as base ingredients. Orange bitters and a lemon peel give it a citrusy character with herbal notes.

History

The Tuxedo originated in the 1880s at the Tuxedo Club in Orange County, New York. The cocktail is named after the club, which is itself derived from the Lenape word tucseto.
