Method
- Add whisky, red vermouth, cherry liqueur, and orange juice to a shaker with ice.
- Shake well, then strain into a chilled champagne coupe glass.
- Garnish with an orange zest.

The cocktail is named after Rudolph Valentino's 1922 bullfighter film. Its first known recipe appeared in the 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book.
