Border Wars

Made with bourbon whiskey, liqueur and mezcal, served in a cocktail glass.

10 ml / 1/4 ozMezcal
45 ml / 1 1/2 ozBourbon
5 ml / 1/4 ozLicor 43
15 ml / 1/2 ozPear liqueur
2 mlBurdock bitter
1Orange zest
300 gIce cubes

Method

  1. Pour Licor 43, pear liqueur, mezcal, and bourbon into a mixing glass.
  2. Fill with ice cubes and stir with a bar spoon.
  3. Strain into a cocktail glass.
  4. Add 2 dashes of burdock bitter.
  5. Express orange zest over the drink and garnish.

About the Border Wars

A strong herbal short drink combining bourbon with smoky mezcal, sweet pear liqueur, and herbal notes. The burdock bitter adds complexity.
