Hemingway Daiquiri

Made with rum and Maraschino, served in a rocks glass.

40 ml / 1 1/4 ozWhite rum
10 ml / 1/4 ozMaraschino liqueur
10 ml / 1/4 ozSugar syrup
20 ml / 3/4 ozGrapefruit juice
10 ml / 1/4 ozLime juice
300 gGrapefruit
30 gOrange
60 gCrushed ice

Method

  1. Scoop the pulp from half a grapefruit and place the peel in a rocks glass.
  2. Pour grapefruit juice, lime juice, sugar syrup, maraschino liqueur, and white rum into a shaker.
  3. Add crushed ice and shake well.
  4. Strain the mixture into the rocks glass.
  5. Garnish with an orange slice.

About the Hemingway Daiquiri

This sour cocktail uses white rum as a base. The combination of grapefruit and lime provides a tart flavor, while maraschino liqueur adds sweetness.
