Opium Cocktail №1

Made with rum, absinthe and bitters, served in a rocks glass.

35 ml / 1 1/4 ozAged rum
15 ml / 1/2 ozOverproof rum
5 ml / 1/4 ozAbsinthe
1 mlOrange bitters
20 ml / 3/4 ozLime cordial
75 ml / 2 1/2 ozMandarin juice
15 ml / 1/2 ozLime juice
200 ml / 6 3/4 ozStill water
1Ginseng capsules
5 gDry ice

Method

  1. Place dry ice in a strainer in the rocks glass.
  2. Add lime juice, mandarin juice, lime cordial, aged rum, overproof rum, and absinthe to a shaker.
  3. Add orange bitters and shake thoroughly.
  4. Strain the mixture into the rocks glass with the ginseng capsule.
  5. Serve with still water in a separate glass and a bombilla.
