Golden Flip

Made with rum and liqueur, served in a highball glass.

40 ml / 1 1/4 ozGold rum
20 ml / 3/4 ozApricot liqueur
5 ml / 1/4 ozGrenadine
10 ml / 1/4 ozSugar syrup
10 ml / 1/4 ozOrgeat syrup
40 ml / 1 1/4 ozOrange juice
15 ml / 1/2 ozLemon juice
5Quail egg yolk
1 gMint
5 gMaraschino cherry
380 gIce cubes

Method

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  2. Combine the quail egg yolk, lemon juice, orange juice, grenadine, sugar syrup, orgeat syrup, apricot liqueur, and gold rum in a shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake well.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared highball glass.
  5. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a sprig of mint.
