The Smoking Gun

Made with Islay single malts, served in a rocks glass.

40 ml / 1 1/4 ozIslay single malt whisky
20 ml / 3/4 ozSugar syrup
20 ml / 3/4 ozLemon juice
50 ml / 1 3/4 ozOrange juice
25 ml / 3/4 ozQuail egg white
45 gPassion fruit
1 gSaffron
320 gIce cubes

Method

  1. Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes.
  2. Add sugar syrup, orange juice, and lemon juice to a shaker.
  3. Add quail egg white and Islay single malt whisky to the shaker.
  4. Shake without ice, then add ice cubes and shake again.
  5. Strain into the rocks glass.
  6. Garnish with saffron and half a passion fruit.
